Specifically, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires the People's Committees of provinces and cities to closely follow market developments, promptly synthesize and report fluctuations in essential goods to serve production, business and people's lives, especially those that directly affect people's health.

Increase inspection and supervision to ensure food safety; resolutely combat, prevent and strictly handle organizations, individuals, production and business establishments that violate food safety regulations.

Directing competent authorities to urgently review and inspect the law compliance of drug and health food businesses in the area, recall detected counterfeit drugs and health food, and strictly handle violations in accordance with regulations.

People's Committees of provinces and cities direct competent agencies to develop plans for post-inspection of food production and trading establishments in the area, establishments importing and advertising health protection foods (on newspapers, radio and internet); establishments producing and trading medical nutritional foods, foods for special diets; establishments producing, trading, importing and advertising supplementary food products and nutritional formula products for young children.

Strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of false statements and advertisements, especially for products that directly affect people's health; promptly inform supply chains of safe, high-quality agricultural products as well as establishments that violate and pose potential risks to food security and safety.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development shall strengthen inspection and control, promptly detect, prevent, and strictly handle acts of production and trading of fake food, fake milk, and fake medicine.

The local market management department focuses on managing the area, promptly detecting unusual developments of goods circulating in the market, especially in small retail channels, unofficial agents, e-commerce platforms and social networks, where there are many potential risks of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, poor quality goods, etc.
