On the evening of August 14, Department C06 - Ministry of Public Security issued a press release confirming: The unit has just installed equipment to help airport staff and passengers save maximum costs, time and effort when checking passenger information during the check-in process.

According to C06, with the information authentication device in VNeID, people only need to log in to the VNeID application and then scan the QR code on the device at the security gate. The device will scan and display the passenger's information and images on the screen. Airport staff and employees will easily determine whether the information in the passenger's VNeID is real or fake, and whether it matches the passenger's ticket or not, to invite the passenger to board the plane or refuse service.

The time to verify passenger information in VNeID only takes about 2-3 seconds.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport piloted the application of VNeID level 2 at domestic flight check-in areas. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, airports have used the method of checking VNeID accounts visually with the naked eye...

Initial statistics show that the average visual check time is 20 seconds. The average time for checking by using the VNeID account of the aviation security officer to scan the QR code of the passenger's VNeID account is 24 seconds. Meanwhile, if the passenger uses a regular flight ticket, the average visual check time is 6 seconds.

The application of information authentication devices in VNeID will help the procedure process take place more quickly and accurately.
