The Politburo considers disciplining party members who violate and have shortcomings.

On April 4, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo reviewed and disciplined party members who committed violations and shortcomings.

After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that: Comrade Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and the State.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, during his tenure as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to impose a disciplinary warning on comrade Nguyen Van Hieu and remove him from his positions, propose that the Party Central Committee consider removing him from his position as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee; propose that the Party Central Committee consider disciplining comrade Truong Hoa Binh.

Propose that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
