On August 21, General Secretary andPresident To Lam chaired the announcement of the Politburo's decisions on personnel transfers and assignments. According to the Politburo's decision on personnel transfers and assignments, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Mai Van Chinh was assigned to hold the position of Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee.

Previously, on July 17, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization - was decided by the Politburo to resign from the position of head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; transferred and assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Next, the Politburo assigned Mr. Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, to run the work of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization.
