The commanders of the Cambodian border protection forces expressed their joy and sincere thanks to the Kien Giang Border Guard for their support to the Cambodian armed forces during the traditional New Year holidays; affirmed that they always respect the neighborly sentiments and long-standing friendship between the two countries, and the sentiments of the Vietnamese soldiers, including the Kien Giang Border Guard, who have helped the Cambodian army, government and people to liberate and escape the genocidal regime, as well as in the current period of national construction.
Colonel Doan Dinh Tranh - Deputy Political Commissar of Kien Giang Border Guard Command presented a gift to the abbot of Xa Xia pagoda, a prestigious person among ethnic minorities in My Duc ward, Ha Tien city.
On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer people, the Kien Giang Border Guard Command organized a delegation to visit and extend New Year greetings at Khmer Theravada pagodas in Giang Thanh, Hon Dat, Chau Thanh districts, Ha Tien city and Rach Gia city (Kien Giang).
