Blockchain Vietnam recommends three things for Da Nang to develop an international financial center

Accordingly, the Vietnam Blockchain Association (blockchain technology) will support Da Nang City in researching and proposing specific and outstanding policy mechanisms to promote the development of fintech (financial technology) and blockchain at the International Financial Center.

Blockchain Vietnam will also support training and coaching on blockchain and AI technology. The People's Committee of Da Nang City is responsible for directing units to create conditions for Blockchain Vietnam to research the contents to build an international financial center.

According to Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, the development of the Da Nang International Financial Center needs to focus on the field of financial technology (fintech).

Specific fintech directions include payment technology, insurance technology, compliance technology, asset management, cybersecurity and blockchain. At the same time, green economic and circular economic models are also recommended for reference.

To realize the goals, Mr. Trung said that Da Nang needs to focus on three main issues.

The first is to build a financial center according to Resolution 259-NQ/CP of the Government, combined with a controlled testing mechanism (sandbox) according to Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly linked with the high-end tourism industry.

The second is to ensure sustainable development through integrating new and old economic activities within the city's specific mechanisms, avoiding dependence on a single mechanism.

The third is to put into practice specific important issues such as testing crypto asset trading, carbon trading, data trading, etc.

“As an organization assigned to the national blockchain strategy, the Vietnam Blockchain Association has accompanied in popularizing knowledge, training human resources, and supporting businesses in developing legally compliant applications.

In particular, to carry out the mission of developing the "Make in Vietnam" blockchain platform, VBA has coordinated with ministries and branches to build a Vietnamese blockchain network, promote cooperation, share information, and increase international competitiveness," said Mr. Trung.

Speaking at the workshop on the afternoon of January 16, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that building a regional and international financial center in Vietnam is a policy to create a boost for the economy.

This will contribute to the goal of accelerating, breaking through, and consolidating fundamental factors, creating a premise for our country to confidently enter a new era - an era of striving for strong, prosperous development of the nation.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities and central agencies to seriously and resolutely implement assigned tasks; meet requirements and progress set forth.
