In 1992, Thuan Hai province (old) was split into two provinces, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan. Regarding cooperation content, in the cultural field, the two provinces will increase exchanges and organize art performances on the occasion of cultural and political events of the two provinces; display cultural and human products on the occasion of the liberation of Ninh Thuan (April 16) and Binh Thuan (April 19).
In the field of sports, in addition to participating in competitions, the two provinces also visited and studied typical sports models, entertainment, adventure sports, high-performance sports and athlete training of each side.
Kate Festival is a traditional festival of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.
In particular, in the field of tourism, the two localities will exchange tourism development policies, planning and promoting products connecting destinations. Organize survey trips for the press (Presstrip) and travel companies (Famtrip). In addition, the two provinces will organize professional training courses and learn from each other's experiences.

However, the tourism industry is also facing many challenges in the competitive context of the international integration process. In the tourism development project of Binh Thuan, the period 2025-2030 has identified the main tourism products of Binh Thuan as sightseeing, resort; sea sports activities, Cham culture with the core being Mui Ne National Tourist Area and Phu Quy Island. The signing of the development agreement between the two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan will be an important cooperation in the current development context.

Many activities on Binh Thuan Tourism Day
Within the framework of the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan Green Convergence" and Binh Thuan Tourism Day (October 24, 2023), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Thuan coordinated with relevant units to organize many cultural, sports and tourism activities to serve tourists.
Important activities include the kite flying festival held at Bau Trang Tourist Area; the bicycle race in La Gi Town, and the Phan Thiet Marathon.
