Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Doan Anh Dung, Head of the Organizing Committee of National Tourism Year 2023, emphasized that right after the opening ceremony (March 25, 2023), the National Tourism Year was followed by more than 200 attractive cultural, sports, tourism and artistic activities throughout Binh Thuan and 41 provinces and cities across the country. The activities of National Tourism Year 2023 have left many deep impressions in the hearts of tourists and friends from near and far.

Reviewing some achievements of the tourism industry, the Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee announced that in 2023, for the first time, Binh Thuan welcomed more than 8.5 million visitors with total tourism revenue reaching over 23,000 billion VND (nearly double compared to 2022).
Following this success, Binh Thuan will persistently pursue the goal of green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly development; continue to preserve, embellish, and promote historical relics, traditional craft villages, and cultural festivals.

Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that the organization of national and international events during the National Tourism Year 2023 has demonstrated the effectiveness and practical benefits in promoting tourism development in the provinces in particular, as well as the whole country in general. Along with the opportunity to connect the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway, the National Tourism Year 2023 in Binh Thuan has been more effective than expected.
Miss Central Coast Doan Hong Trang, a citizen of Binh Thuan, participated in the performance at the closing night.
National Tourism Year 2023 is an important push to reactivate many development investment projects, many projects are completed and put into operation, opening a new chapter of quality, classy, professional tourism and affirming the brand for Binh Thuan tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general.
The success of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" has contributed positively to the overall success of Vietnam tourism in 2023 with the number of welcoming 12.5 million international visitors, 108 million domestic visitors; total revenue from tourism reached more than 672,000 billion VND.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province handed over the flag to host the National Tourism Year 2024 to Mr. Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.
"The 2023 National Tourism Year has also contributed to continuing to raise awareness of the role of tourism in socio-economic development at all levels, sectors and local people, especially green tourism and sustainable tourism," Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong emphasized.
