Binh Dinh verifies clip of female student being brutally beaten, causing public uproar

On the morning of April 20, speaking with Tien Phong , Mr. Truong Dinh Phuong - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of An Nhon town confirmed that the clip recording the image of a female student being beaten and assaulted by 2 female friends that is causing a stir on social networks is a student in the town.

According to Mr. Phuong, the incident occurred on March 23, in an empty lot, in the new An Nhon market area (Binh Dinh ward, An Nhon town). The group of female students appearing in the clip are students at Binh Ward Secondary School and Dap Da Secondary School.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 19, a clip appeared on Facebook recording a female student being beaten and humiliated by two female friends, but she did not fight back.

The clip also shows another female student witnessing the incident but not stopping it, but instead appearing to enjoy it.

Immediately after being posted, the above clip attracted much attention from the social network community, with thousands of interactions, shares, and expressions of outrage.

Another female student witnessed the incident but did not intervene.

“We don’t know what kind of conflict led to this incident. The Departmentof Education has asked the two schools to report the details of the incident. Tomorrow, the relevant authorities will invite the relevant parties to work together to find a solution,” said Mr. Phuong.

The leader of the People's Committee of An Nhon town (Binh Dinh) also said that he is asking the Department of Education and Training to work with the schools to grasp the incident.
