Binh Dinh issues 'ultimatum' to 2 resort projects on National Highway 1D

National Highway 1D, passing through Quy Nhon City, is considered to have great potential for tourism development. With mountains on one side and the sea on the other, this route has beautiful scenery. Therefore, for many years, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has continuously called for investment to develop tourism on this route.

Resort projects under construction on Highway 1D

According to the 1/2000 adjusted planning project of tourist and service spots along Quy Nhon - Song Cau route (QL1D), there are a total of 19 tourist spots with a total planning research area of ​​about 300 hectares.

Besides projects that are implemented quickly and effectively, there are still projects that are implemented slowly and have violations.

To put an end to the situation of investors being slow to implement projects, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province recently issued an ultimatum to two resort projects under construction on National Highway 1D.

Specifically, in addition to adjusting the progress of the La Costa Resort project on the Quy Nhon - Song Cau route invested by Thanh Linh Quy Nhon Investment Joint Stock Company, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province also warned that it would revoke this project if the progress continued to be slow.

The La Costa Resort project has adjusted the completion time of area A (east of National Highway 1D) to the third quarter of 2024 instead of the fourth quarter of 2023 as approved.

Similarly, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has also adjusted the investment policy of the Ami Resort - Spa project on the Quy Nhon - Song Cau route.

Accordingly, the project adjusted to increase the land area from nearly ^12,000m2 to nearly ^13,000m2 . At the same time, the project's operational time was also adjusted to the first quarter of 2024 instead of the fourth quarter of 2020 as previously approved.

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee requested Dong Nam Technical Development Investment Company Limited - the project investor, to speed up the progress to soon complete the project and construct the project according to the approved planning.

In addition, Binh Dinh province also requires Dong Nam Technical Development Investment Company Limited to make a commitment and develop a specific implementation plan for each month until the project comes into operation in the first quarter of 2024. In case the project continues to be behind schedule, the investment policy will be considered for revocation according to regulations.

The Ami Resort - Spa project on the Quy Nhon - Song Cau route (QL1D) was approved by Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee for Dong Nam Technical Development Investment Company Limited to invest in 2017, and started construction in 2019.

The La Costa Resort project on the Quy Nhon - Song Cau route was approved in principle by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province for Thanh Linh Quy Nhon Investment Joint Stock Company to invest in in 2017, starting construction in 2020.

In 2020, the Department of Construction of Binh Dinh province inspected 8 construction projects on the Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) - Song Cau (Phu Yen) tourism - service route, discovering a series of violations at 7 projects, including the above 2 projects.

The violations were mainly related to construction errors. Afterwards, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province requested the investor to quickly correct the violations.
