On the afternoon of November 3, in Gangnam (Seoul, Korea), the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA), in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, co-organized: "Conference on promoting investment and local cooperation of Binh Dinh province in Korea".
Attending the conference were Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province; Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Nguyen Vu Tung, Mr. Tran Hai Linh, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the VKBIA Association.
The conference attracted more than 100 delegates who are leaders of large investment funds, corporations, large, medium and small enterprises (SMEs) in many fields such as banking and finance, green energy, green industry, construction and development of smart cities - urban areas, industry 4.0, science and technology, high-tech agriculture, and manufacturing of Korea.
Speaking at the event, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung informed investors about the strengths and conditions that the province has prepared to welcome foreign investors, including Korean investors.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung said that Binh Dinh has a number of outstanding and superior advantages. According to him, Binh Dinh has an important strategic position in regional connectivity and international exchange. Located at the midpoint of the North-South road and railway traffic axis, it is also the closest and most convenient gateway to the East Sea of the Central Highlands, connecting with Southern Laos, Northeastern Thailand and Cambodia.
In particular, Binh Dinh is one of the most important transit points for goods, seaport services, and logistics in the country. The province has a coastline stretching up to 134km with many beautiful landscapes, historical sites, and a long-standing culture.
Highlights of Quy Nhon City are a growth pole of the region, a center of logistics, trade, tourism, entertainment, education and training, banking and finance and specialized healthcare, meeting all needs according to international standards.
In addition, the socio-economic infrastructure system, especially the basic transport infrastructure, is complete, synchronous, and conveniently connected between regions with full means of transport such as road, rail, air and sea.
In addition to having a favorable geographical location for trade, an important strategic position in regional connectivity and international exchange, along with systematic investment in synchronous infrastructure and transportation systems, Binh Dinh always strives to improve the environment, preferential policies, attract investment, and meet the requirements of foreign investors.
Binh Dinh has planned 14 industrial parks and 63 industrial clusters with a total area of nearly 8,000 hectares. Nhon Hoi Economic Zone with an area of over 14,000 hectares has been completed and has a clean land for handover to investors. Currently, the direct connecting routes from seaports, airports, railway stations to industrial parks, clusters, urban areas, and tourism areas have been completed and are continuing to be invested, upgraded, and expanded.
Over the years, the province's Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) has always been among the localities with the best governance quality, highly appreciated by domestic and foreign investors.
In 2022, Binh Dinh ranked 1st out of 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam in terms of the competitiveness index, demonstrating Binh Dinh's outstanding efforts in improving the quality of economic management and the level of facilitation and friendliness of the business environment for private enterprises in the area.
Binh Dinh is also one of the leading localities in administrative procedure reform by proactively reducing the time to handle administrative procedures in the investment sector, helping investors save time, costs and promptly implement projects.
According to Secretary Ho Quoc Dung, when investing in the province, depending on the preferential or especially preferential investment industry, investors will be exempted from land rent for a number of years, have tax rates reduced and be exempted from corporate income tax for a number of years, and be exempted from import tax to create fixed assets...
Binh Dinh, from a backward agricultural province, has now ranked 6th out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast in terms of GRDP scale.
The vision and development orientation of Binh Dinh province in the future will be to become a center of science and technology, Innovation, an important place for applying artificial intelligence in Vietnam; sustainable economic development based on the pillars: manufacturing and processing industry, information technology industry and AI; high-quality tourism; organic agriculture and an efficient logistics system.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA).
Previously, the delegation of Binh Dinh province also visited and worked at the Yongsan District Office, Seoul city, worked with the Incheon city government and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea...
At the working sessions, on behalf of the leaders of Binh Dinh province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung also called on businesses and provincial authorities to actively pay attention, support, and invest in development in various fields in Binh Dinh.
