The 6th award for excellent farmers and businessmen in Ninh Binh province

Practically celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2024), on the morning of October 9, the Provincial Farmers' Union held a conference to summarize the movement of Farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in the period of 2022-2024; commending good farmers in production and business in Ninh Binh province for the 6th time and meeting with officials of the Provincial Farmers' Union through the periods.

Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Bui Thi Thom and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Do Viet Anh awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to farmers with outstanding achievements in production and business.

Attending the conference were comrade Bui Thi Thom, Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association through the periods; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches and 141 delegates who are good farmers and businessmen at the provincial level.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious 94-year tradition of the Vietnamese peasant class. Together with farmers across the country, farmers in the province have united, contributed human and material resources, and were ready to sacrifice for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, together with the Party Committee, Government and People in the province, making an important contribution to the cause of national liberation and unification.

In recent years, the movement of Farmers competing in production, good business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has become a revolutionary movement in the renovation period of the peasant class. In the period of 2022-2024, the movement has developed in both breadth and depth, creating a spread in many fields, attracting a large number of farmers to participate, thereby encouraging and motivating members and farmers to enthusiastically compete in labor production, innovate thinking and working methods, strive to get rich and help poor households escape poverty sustainably; actively shift the structure of crops, livestock, and seasons, exploit the potential and strengths of land, labor, and capital to invest in production development.

By the end of 2023, the whole province had 29,744 farming households achieving the title of "Excellent Farmer and Business Household" at all levels. From 2022 to present, the Farmers' Association at all levels has mobilized and guided the establishment of 27 cooperatives and 78 cooperative groups (THT), bringing the total number of cooperatives and THTs in the province to 96 cooperatives and 405 THTs, operating effectively in a variety of industries.

In the activity of helping each other get rich, in the period of 2022-2024, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have built 276 sustainable poverty reduction models, directly helping nearly 3,580 members escape poverty. The economy has developed, people have actively participated in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. In the past 3 years, farmers in the province have supported over 114,000 working days, contributing nearly 20 billion VND to build and develop their homeland.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Bui Thi Thom, Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, praised and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the farming class and the activities of the Farmers' Union at all levels in Ninh Binh province in recent years; congratulated 141 farmers who were recognized for their excellent production and business.

He affirmed: Agriculture, farmers and rural areas have a strategic position in the cause of industrialization, modernization, national construction and protection, and are the basis and important force for socio-economic development, maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense and security; preserving and promoting national cultural identity and protecting the ecological environment.

To continue to maintain, develop, improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement, the Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union requested that Farmers' Unions at all levels in the province continue to innovate propaganda and mobilization work, so that the policies of the Party and the State, and the Vietnam Farmers' Union reach a large number of members; further improve the quality of the movement of Farmers competing in production and good business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of industrialization and modernization of agriculture, rural areas and international integration. Strengthen support for farmers through consulting activities, legal aid; capital support, vocational training, technology transfer, contributing to affirming the brand of local agricultural products..., helping farmer members to be more confident in the process of integration and development.

He also requested that the individuals who were awarded and the farmers who were recognized for their excellent production and business continue to promote their achievements, strive even harder to become the core of the patriotic emulation movement; be willing to share experiences and good practices, and help poor farmers to strive together to become sustainably rich.

On this occasion, 141 farmers with outstanding achievements in production and business in the period of 2022-2024 were commended and rewarded by the Provincial People's Committee .
