Commendation for the elderly participating in building the grassroots political system

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding elderly individuals in the movement to participate in building the grassroots political system in the period 2019-2024.

The Provincial Association of the Elderly (ECA) currently has nearly 181,000 members (96.3% of the total number of ECAs), operating in 2,206 branches in residential areas. In the 2019-2024 period, ECA members enthusiastically participated in the patriotic emulation movement "ECA members participate in building the grassroots political system". ECAs at all levels have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the movement; promptly commended and disseminated good practices and replicated typical collectives and individuals in implementing the movement.

In the period of 2019-2024, the whole province has over 9,500 elderly people participating in Party cells in hamlets and residential groups. Of which, 1,874 elderly people are Party cell secretaries, 1,926 elderly people are heads of residential groups and hamlet heads; 1,532 elderly people are heads of the Front work committee; 430 elderly people participate in the Party executive committees of communes, wards and towns for the 2020-2025 term...

Elderly members always actively participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile viewpoints; being exemplary in researching, thoroughly understanding and implementing directives and resolutions of the Central Committee and higher-level Party Committees. Along with that, many elderly people in the province still participate in production labor, over 1,190 elderly people are farm owners, business owners; over 1,630 elderly people have achieved the title of good economic performers.

According to the assessment, the elderly association members in the province always promote their role, actively contribute their experience and prestige to participate in building the grassroots political system, contributing to the overall development of the province.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding groups in the movement of the elderly participating in building the grassroots political system in the period 2019-2024.

At the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 25 individuals, and Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Elderly Association to 28 collectives and 52 individuals for their outstanding contributions to the construction of the grassroots political system in the period 2019-2024. The Provincial Elderly Association also selected 4 outstanding individuals to propose the Central Association to reward them in the coming time.
