According to regulations, all motorcyclists and motorbike riders on all roads are required to wear helmets. The effectiveness of wearing helmets ensures the safety of motorcyclists, contributes to reducing traffic accidents, and strictly complies with legal regulations.

However, there are still some confusing images, that is, some parents take their children to school by motorbike and still leave their children bareheaded, while the parents wear helmets.

To add more perspectives, Tuoi Tre Online introduces reader Manh Quang's opinion on this matter:

So another school year has come. Every morning, among the crowd of people going to work, there are images of students being taken to school by their parents on motorbikes.

But these images are not very good when many of them, some of them are in high school, have bare heads and do not wear helmets when riding motorbikes. There is even a mother who takes her two children to school and all three of them are not wearing helmets.

The current Road Traffic Law stipulates that children from 6 years old (equivalent to grade 1) and above are required to wear helmets when riding motorbikes. However, many children who go to school every day are not seriously required by their parents to wear helmets.

And although the regulation requires children from 6 years old to wear helmets, it is thought that children of younger ages should also be equipped with helmets to increase their safety when riding on the road, to ensure their safety.

In fact, many parents are very serious about this, even for children under 6 years old, even when traveling on short distances.

But some people still use the excuse that they were in a hurry in the morning and forgot to put on a helmet for their children. Some other parents use the excuse that their house is nearby, so they rush their children to school a few hundred meters away, putting on a helmet takes time, and carrying it back and forth is unnecessary.

Then some people blame it on their children not wanting to wear it, it gets in the way and is uncomfortable.

But strangely, parents know how to wear helmets and protect their own lives, but they neglect and ignore their children. So every day on the way to school, parents sit in front wearing helmets, while children sit in the back with their heads bare.

Habits are formed day by day, trained from childhood. Then from there, awareness is formed, knowing how to protect oneself and obey the law.

So why not put a hat on your child when taking him to school, to "fulfill the parental love" as the slogan posted in front of many school gates says?

TTO - Recently, many schools and authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have frequently reminded parents to wear helmets for their children when traveling on the road. However, many parents still carelessly pick up and drop off their children without helmets.
