According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the low pressure area in the East Sea is moving slowly in a West-Northwest direction and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.
It is forecasted that in the coming hours, the Central and Southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan will have showers and thunderstorms; in the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7.
To proactively respond to low pressure areas that are likely to strengthen into tropical depressions, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has sent a telegram to coastal provinces and cities requesting them to closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of low pressure areas that are likely to strengthen into tropical depressions.
The key task in the coming hours is to notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring the safety of people and property.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also requested coastal localities to maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations. At the same time, prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.
