On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the afternoon of April 25, comrade Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in Tho Xuan district. Accompanying him were comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office and a number of provincial departments and branches, and leaders of Tho Xuan district.

At the places he visited, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung expressed his gratitude and respect for the great contributions and sacrifices of the martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers in Tho Xuan district during the resistance war against the French, contributing together with our army and people to the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". The Party, State, local Party committees and authorities will forever engrave the great contributions of the previous generation, the revolutionary veterans, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who fought bravely, contributing their human and material resources to the long and arduous resistance war. The Dien Bien Phu victory will forever be an immortal heroic epic - a shining golden milestone in the history of our nation and country.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung affirmed: The Party, State and the Party Committee and government of Thanh Hoa province always pay attention to, lead and direct the implementation of the work of "repaying gratitude" with a sense of responsibility, respect and deep gratitude; along with that, effectively implementing many policies and support policies for war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Mr. Le Xuan Tam (born in 1935) in Trung Thon village, Bac Luong commune, shared his memories of revisiting the old battlefield with his comrades with Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung and members of the delegation took souvenir photos with families of Dien Bien soldiers and youth volunteers when the delegation visited.
The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that soldiers, families of martyrs and soldiers of Dien Bien will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, educate their children and grandchildren to contribute their intelligence and efforts to build their homeland and country to become more civilized and prosperous.
With the ethics of “remembering the source of water you drink” and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of those who have contributed, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has established working delegations to visit soldiers and their families, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and are living in the province.
