After the incense offering ceremony at the monument of the Fatherland's gratitude, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau and the delegation burned incense on the graves of martyrs resting at the Da Lat City Martyrs' Cemetery, Lam Dong Province. With an area of over 20 hectares, the Da Lat City Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of more than 3,000 souls of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism. There are 40 graves of martyrs from Vinh Phu province (old), including 22 graves of martyrs who are from Phu Tho.
Visiting martyrs' cemeteries in provinces and cities on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, July 27, is an annual activity of Phu Tho province to express gratitude to heroic martyrs in general and to the children of the homeland who heroically sacrificed in the resistance wars for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
