Tri Ton District Party Secretary inspects progress of program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

- On April 9, Tri Ton District Party Secretary Lam Thanh Si inspected the progress of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Lac Quoi and Vinh Phuoc communes.

According to the approval decision of the People's Committee of An Giang province, the entire Tri Ton district will build and repair 1,336 houses (1,293 new houses, 43 repaired houses). Up to now, 1,193 houses have been completed (1,155 new houses and 38 repaired houses).

Checking the progress of house construction in Lac Quoi commune

In Lac Quoi commune, 8 households were considered for house construction and repair. Of these, 4 households are policy families, 4 households benefit from the sustainable poverty reduction target program. To date, 7 houses have been completed, 1 house is under construction.

Evaluation of progress in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Vinh Phuoc commune

In Vinh Phuoc commune, 59 households were approved. Of these, 41 households benefited from the national poverty reduction program; 18 households were other poor and near-poor households. Up to now, the commune has built 38 houses, the remaining 21 houses will start construction no later than April 15. Through on-site inspection, understanding the circumstances and causes, Tri Ton District Party Secretary Lam Thanh Si encouraged households to try to implement the State's policy well and start construction of the houses soon. In addition, he requested localities to pay attention and urge the completion of houses for policy families early and organize the handover on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 2025).

For the remaining 21 households of Vinh Phuoc commune, the locality needs to quickly deploy, ensure quality and completion progress before June 15. Note that each newly built house must ensure "3 hard", minimum area of ^​​30m2 , and usage period of over 20 years.
