Secretary of the Commune Youth Union in Ha Tinh received the "October 15" award

Mr. Nguyen Dac Thang - Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, Chairman of the Youth Union of Tung Anh Commune (Duc Tho, Ha Tinh) was honored to be 1/82 outstanding youth faces nationwide to receive the "October 15" award from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Thang (far right) received the "October 15" award at the 67th anniversary celebration of the Vietnam Youth Union's traditional day held in Thai Nguyen province.

As Secretary of the Commune Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Tung Anh Commune, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thang (born in 1994) always strives, constantly innovates, and brings many results to the activities of the local Youth Union and Association, which are recognized by the Youth Union and Association at all levels, Party committees, authorities and people.

As the team leader of a volunteer team participating in digital transformation activities in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thang established 13 teams and youth volunteer groups to coordinate with community digital transformation teams of villages to guide people to install and activate electronic identification, exceeding the set target; directly coordinated with civil servants on duty at the one-stop office on Wednesdays to guide people to install and activate electronic identification and support the settlement of administrative procedures.

He is also the Chairman of the "For Tomorrow" Scrap Club and the "Youth with the Law" Club; at the same time, he regularly directs the clubs to organize many meaningful and highly influential activities.

Specifically: launching over 50 labor campaigns to support villages in building new rural areas with more than 1,000 young people participating; building 2 projects to turn black waste spots into flower gardens; 2 projects to propagate new rural areas using recycled tires and a life buoy project to prevent drowning. Coordinating the implementation of the "Bowl of Love Porridge" program at Duc Tho District General Hospital for an average of 200 patients/month. Organizing medical examinations and dispensing of medicine for 500 elderly people, poor households, policy beneficiaries, and people in difficult circumstances in the area...

With his efforts and contributions, Mr. Thang has received certificates of merit from the Youth Union at all levels and local authorities. Typical examples include the certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in 2020, the certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in 2021, 2022...
