The surgery will probably be next month because the doctor has to wait for some supplies to be ordered for the jaw surgery. Don't worry everyone. I just wanted to rest, so I was too lazy to go on Facebook."
On the evening of September 21st, social media was abuzz with news of Kasim Hoang Vu's death. Many fan pages and YouTube channels posted this fake news, causing keywords to spread and top search rankings on Facebook and Google.
Notably, many Vietnamese artists participated in spreading fake news. People's Artist Viet Anh posted on a verified page: "Mourning Kasim Hoang Vu, rest in peace," causing dozens of colleagues to believe it and offer condolences.

When contacted by reporters, he said he saw it on YouTube and thought it was real, so he offered his condolences. The veteran artist later deleted the post.
A well-known TV presenter also posted: "I hope it's not true, my dear. The song echoes in my mind: Holding hands on the road, happily singing and enjoying the days ..."
Although he didn't name anyone specifically, the ambiguous post prompted hundreds of internet users to offer condolences to Kasim Hoang Vu. The TV presenter has since deleted the post.
Recently, singer Kasim Hoang Vu has attracted attention due to suffering from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthritis, requiring surgery for bone cysts in his jaw and neck, resulting in significant changes to his face. He has lost weight, has to limit the use of his jaw muscles, and eats soft foods.
On September 14th, he was admitted to the emergency room in Houston, Texas (USA) due to his worsening condition.
The high cost of treatment has put Kasim Hoang Vu in a difficult situation. Singer Trizzie Phuong Trinh and many overseas colleagues have joined forces to organize a charity concert in Houston, Texas to raise funds to help him.
