This group of Chinese people gathered at the northern border, walking along the forest path, and were transported by many people on motorbikes and cars to the main road.

On the evening of June 28, 2021, a man (unknown origin) contacted Son via Zalo to pick up 8 Chinese people who illegally crossed the border into Vietnam and through Bac Giang province, then take them to Da Nang city, for a total price of 96 million VND.

Son called Tu and prepared two four-seater cars. After picking up eight Chinese people, Son received the advance payment through his bank account.

On the way to Da Nang city, Son drove the car in front, Tu followed behind, both kept a distance of 50 - 100 m.

At around 5:00 a.m. on June 30, 2021, when the two cars passed through the Hai Van tunnel (Da Nang city), Son informed the renter and received the full amount of 96 million VND.

On the way to the handover location of the Chinese people, Son and Tu discovered a Covid-19 epidemic control station so they found another way to enter Da Nang City. When they reached DT602 road in Hoa Son commune (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), the two cars were stopped for inspection at the Covid-19 epidemic control station of Hoa Vang district police.

Tu immediately drove away, Son also ran in the other direction, when he reached Hoa Lien commune (Hoa Vang district), Son chased the 4 Chinese people off and drove away to Bac Giang.

Tu ran to Hoa Son commune and also chased the 4 Chinese people off the car and drove back to his hometown to escape.

All 8 Chinese people were discovered by local people and reported to the police for temporary detention. After investigation, Da Nang City Police identified Son and Tu and summoned them. After Son was arrested, Tu told the story to his uncle Nguyen Van Dong.

Tu and Dong discussed and agreed on the false statements to create an alibi for Tu to avoid being investigated for illegal entry, causing difficulties for the investigation agency.
