In recent days, Southeast Asian media have reported that Indonesia is planning to compete to host the 2034 World Cup.
Indonesia is determined to compete to host the 2034 World Cup.
In addition, the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) wants to invite Malaysia, Australia and Singapore to participate in this race.
But most recently, two football federations have spoken out about this information and they both confirmed that they have no connection with PSSI.
First, Australia said they are not ready to host the world's biggest football festival in 2034.
The reason is that the country is considering between bidding for the right to host the FIFA Club World Cup 2029 or the FIFA World Cup 2034.
In addition, the kangaroo press also said that Indonesia often has football conflicts and called on the Australian Football Federation to consider cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) was more harsh when it affirmed that they had no connection with Indonesia and had no intention of participating in this race.
Not only that, FAM President Datuk Hamidin Amin also announced his support for Saudi Arabia to host the 2034 World Cup and believes the West Asian country can successfully host the tournament taking place 11 years from now.
A few months ago, many sources said that PSSI intended to invite the two leading football nations in Southeast Asia, Vietnam and Thailand, to jointly host the 2034 World Cup.
But realizing that this plan is not feasible, both Vietnam and Thailand seem not to care much.
Therefore, Indonesia decided to cooperate with Malaysia, Singapore and Australia to host the biggest football tournament on the planet.
But so far, the response from two-thirds of the countries invited by Indonesia has been quite negative and the alliance is likely to fall apart soon.
