A man died from illness and could not escape the fire.

On April 17, the leader of the People's Committee of Du Hang Kenh Ward (Le Chan District, Hai Phong City) confirmed that a house fire had just occurred in the ward, killing one person and injuring another.

The incident occurred at 8:00 a.m. the same day (April 17), at the house of Mr. Nguyen Tien D. (born in 1988, residing at No. 7, Lane 170, Ho Sen Street, Du Hang Kenh Ward).

At that time, people in the area discovered black smoke and a burning smell coming from Mr. D's house, ran to the house with his family to turn off the power, and used on-site vehicles to rescue him.

At this time, the fire began to develop over an area of ​​about 20 square meters of the level 4 house, and residents reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hai Phong City Police mobilized forces with 1 fire truck and vehicles to the scene, coordinating with Du Hang Kenh Ward Police and local people to organize fire fighting.

After a short time, the fire was extinguished, however, the fire caused Mr. Nguyen Tien D., who was sick and could not escape in time, to suffer severe burns. He was taken to the emergency room but did not survive. Mr. D.'s younger brother, who ran in to save him, also suffered burns to his face.

Currently, the Hai Phong City Police are continuing to investigate the case to determine the cause and handle it according to regulations.
