Accordingly, a total of 17 Bentley Bentayga cars with W12 engines (vehicles with V8 engines are not affected) are included in this recall in Vietnam with production time from November 2015 to June 2023.
It is understood that on affected Bentayga vehicles, the top cover of the fuel pump assembly may deform and affect the fuel tank seal, which may cause fuel to leak, leading to a risk of fire or explosion.
The cause given by Bentley is that the electrical signal connectors on the top cover of the fuel pump assembly are likely to overheat and affect the fuel tank seal. When the fuel tank seal is deformed, it will cause fuel to leak into the vehicle.
This recall will last for 1 year from October 24, 2023. Owners can bring their affected vehicles to Bentley authorized service centers for inspection and replacement of components. This work will take up to 4 hours per vehicle.
In the Vietnamese market, Bentley Bentay is distributed in 4 versions including standard Bentayga, Bentayga A, Bentayga S and Bentayga Azure.
