Lao Cai Traditional Medicine Hospital becomes a practice facility of Hanoi Medical University

The principle contract is implemented in accordance with Decree 111/2017/ND-CP of the Government regulating the organization of practical training in health sector training.

Lao Cai Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine is currently a practice facility of Hanoi Medical University and Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.

The Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital becoming a practice facility of Hanoi Medical University is an important step to affirm the quality of the hospital's operations, while also opening up many opportunities to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment of the unit. The hospital will contribute to the process of connecting theory with practice, creating conditions for students to practice in a professional working environment, improving the quality of training and community health care.

According to Article 13 of Decree 111/2017/ND-CP, the Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital, when becoming a practice facility in training health professionals, has the following rights and responsibilities:

Be given priority to participate in investment programs and projects in the fields of health and health human resource training; be allowed to use the facilities and equipment of the educational institution (if any) located at the practice facility in professional activities; be scored when evaluating the quality and ranking the medical facility according to the regulations of the Minister of Health; be recognized as a part of the training task of the educational institution after signing a detailed contract for practical training with the educational institution.

The practice facility is responsible for ensuring the requirements of the practice facility according to the provisions of Decree 111/2017/ND-CP; coordinating with educational institutions to ensure the quality of practical training according to the practical training program; confirming the practice results of the trainees.

Lao Cai Traditional Medicine Hospital is a grade II provincial specialized hospital. The hospital is invested in building spacious, modern design, spacious space and many modern equipment. The hospital has performed 82.5% of the technical list according to the classification of the Ministry of Health.

Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital is a trusted address for examination and treatment of traditional medicine combined with modern medicine.

The Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital is also a practical training facility of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine. In February 2023, the Academy awarded a decision to recognize 5 officials with the qualifications of specialist doctor I and master at the hospital as guest lecturers.
