DNVN - Long An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital Joint Stock Company (Ward 7, Tan An City, Long An Province) is facing financial difficulties, owing employees 16 billion VND in wages from the beginning of December 2023 until now.
On June 25, according to information from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), Long An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital Joint Stock Company did not cooperate and did not have a written report on the salary situation to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province. Although, the Department had previously sent many documents directly to this hospital.

Regarding the issue of unpaid wages, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province added that recently, Long An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital Joint Stock Company has encountered many difficulties. Since the beginning of December 2023, the hospital has stopped accepting inpatients, and the number of outpatients has decreased significantly.
In addition, many hospital medical staff have been absent from work, and the hospital's financial situation has been difficult. As a result, the hospital has not been able to pay salaries to its employees in accordance with regulations.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dai Tanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province, Long An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital still owes its employees 16 billion VND in wages. Of which, the debt to employees who are still working is 4.5 billion VND, and the debt to employees who have quit is 11.5 billion VND.
It is known that at least 19 petitions from workers have been sent to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province to complain and ask for intervention in the matter of Long An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital Joint Stock Company owing wages. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province has forwarded the petitions to the Director of Long An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital Joint Stock Company for resolution. At the same time, the workers have been instructed to go to Tan An City People's Court to file a lawsuit according to regulations.
Realizing the above situation, Long An provincial departments and branches are currently making reports and proposing solutions to the difficulties and problems of investors in operating Long An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
