(Dan Tri) - During the 30th anniversary celebration, a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City was honored to receive the noble title of Hero of Labor conferred by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On the afternoon of December 30, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary and receive the noble title of Hero of Labor conferred by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, awarded the title of Hero of Labor to the Hospital for its outstanding achievements in labor and creativity.
The above title not only recognizes the great contributions of previous generations of leaders and teachers in the process of forming and developing the Hospital, but also serves as a strong motivation for the unit to continue affirming its pioneering role in the career of health care, training and scientific research.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan highly appreciated the dynamism and creativity of the Hospital, affirming the role of the university's practice hospital model.
With the spirit of continuous innovation, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital has achieved many important achievements, typically in pioneering the application of modern hospital management models, optimizing resources, improving service quality, and strongly transforming digitally.
The unit has built a smart hospital system, improving management efficiency and patient experience; constantly investing in scientific research and training, actively contributing to the development of the country's health sector.

Professor Tran Diep Tuan, Chairman of the Council of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the school is proud of the great achievements that the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, has achieved. This is a testament to the vision and pioneering of the first School - Institute model in Vietnam.
Professor Tuan affirmed that the staff and workers of the two units are committed to focusing on developing advanced and specialized medical techniques; strengthening the training of high-quality human resources, and performing well the work of directing the line.
In addition, the school and hospital will promote administrative reform, improve processes and procedures in all areas; promote international cooperation, technology transfer and enhance research and application of advanced technology, especially in the field of digital transformation in healthcare.

On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to Associate Professor, Meritorious Teacher, Meritorious Physician Nguyen Hoang Bac, Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and the Third Class Labor Medal to the Intensive Care Department of the Hospital.

Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Health, awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to the Hospital for its excellent and comprehensive completion of its tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement of the Ministry of Health in 2023.
Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc also presented the Traditional Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to the Hospital, for its achievements in continuous work for many years, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the unit's establishment (1994-2024).
