After many years of construction, the Binh Duong General Hospital project has not yet been completed to serve the medical examination and treatment of local people.

Binh Duong General Hospital located in Dinh Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City (Binh Duong) is a key project of the province with a total investment of more than 2,300 billion VND , including 17 modern and spacious floors.

The project started in 2014 and was originally scheduled to be operational in 2016. However, after many years of implementation, the project has yet to be completed.

The reasons for the slow progress are the division of the project, lack of general contractors, and poor investment preparation, which leads to many problems during implementation, wasting resources and time.

The project has a total investment of more than 2,300 billion VND , with 2 bidding packages, including: construction, supply and installation of technical systems; construction and installation of medical gas system equipment and transportation of clinical samples.

To date, package 1 has been 92% completed, package 2 has been 89% completed, and the remaining work of these two packages is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Binh Duong Province's Construction Investment Management Board said that the hospital medical equipment project has not yet received comments from the provincial scientific council on the configuration and features of the equipment list as a basis for adjustment.

In the difficult situation of purchasing medical equipment and supplies, this unit proposed that the Provincial People's Committee approve the adjustment of the investment policy of the Binh Duong General Hospital Equipment Project into 2 project components, including equipping the medical information technology system, hospital furniture and purchasing specialized medical equipment.

Before being approved by the Provincial People's Committee for adjustment, the Binh Duong Provincial Construction Investment Management Board is looking for a capable and experienced consulting unit to cooperate in project consulting packages.

After that, the unit will focus on implementing the project of equipping the medical information technology system and hospital interior to synchronize with the construction and installation, receiving available medical equipment at the old Binh Duong General Hospital to operate the new hospital.

At the same time, the unit will implement the project of purchasing medical equipment as soon as possible and urgently construct the central technical block, funeral home, wastewater treatment station...
