On the afternoon of April 17, 108 Central Military Hospital said that after receiving the information, the hospital checked and discovered that the Hofumil Gold Plus milk product supplied in the hospital was on the list of milk products of one of the companies that the Ministry of Public Security announced to destroy in the fake milk production line.

To ensure the rights of patients, on April 12, hospital leaders implemented solutions to direct professional units to stop advising on the use of Hofumil Gold Plus milk products.

The hospital also recalled this product to return it to the supplier, although there is no information from the authorities about whether the Hofumil Gold Plus milk product is fake or not.

The hospital also contacted the patient who had been advised to use Hofumil Gold Plus milk product to advise them to stop using it. At the same time, the hospital will accompany the patient to request the supplier to refund the amount of money spent on the product to protect the patient's rights.

"The Hofumil Gold Plus milk product used in the hospital has gone through a public bidding process in accordance with the law. Therefore, if the Hofumil Gold Plus milk product is concluded by the state authorities to be a counterfeit product, the hospital and the patient will be the victims of this incident," the hospital's announcement stated.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency had dismantled a ring of fake milk powder production, trading and consumption in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. The subjects in the case were Rance Pharma Company, located at Him Lam residential area, Van Phuc, Ha Dong, Hanoi and Hacofood Group Company, located at LK52-10, Phu Luong New Urban Area, Phu Luong Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi along with a number of other directly related companies.
