Caves on sunny days
The Tuc Dup hill rises amidst the southern landscape, its canopy of lush green forest trees. Millions of rocks are piled upon each other, creating a rugged, rough, and unpolished appearance that is nonetheless unique. Ancient tree roots cling tightly to the hillside, forming bizarre shapes. Countless nameless vines intertwine and cling to the large and small rocks, surviving as if to testify to the harmonious blend of the natural ecosystem of this dreamy forest. Standing on the hilltop, surrounded by endless characteristic trees, interspersed with the vibrant red of the flamboyant trees in summer, one feels a sense of wonder and can fully admire the vast expanse of the sky.
Descending further leads to a winding system of interconnected caves, each narrow and interwoven. The inscriptions and strategic symbols left by soldiers from previous eras are still etched into the rock walls. Countless intertwined passages form a fantastical labyrinth, guiding visitors amidst the lively flapping wings of birds, bats, and the chirping of insects. Sunlight dances gently, filtering through the gaps, creating a vibrant and dynamic scene, its rays painting a picture of wonder. The hotter the sun, the cooler the interior becomes, with cool breezes and mysterious winds blowing through the caves, invigorating the spirit and shedding all worries.

The inside of the cave on rainy days
The bright sunny days were also a harbinger of heavy rains to come. No matter how heavy the rain and wind outside, the cave remained surprisingly dry. The isolated raindrops fell, splashing like crystal flowers, tapping rhythmically against the ethereal rocks. Listening to the rain and the rustling of the trees, the red flame trees swaying to catch each drop of heavenly rain, one felt as if nature was calling.

For a long period from the 1930s and 1940s, Tuc Dup carried within it the flame of revolutionary struggle. During the resistance war against French colonialism, thanks to its rugged terrain, the French could not find the hiding places of the revolutionary fighters and did not dare to launch raids or hunt them down. From 1960, Tuc Dup served as a base for the Tri Ton District Party Committee and the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, an important bridge connecting the North Vietnamese army units across the Truong Son Mountains and Cambodia to spread throughout the Southwestern battlefield. This place nurtured important figures, especially training and developing countless core cadres during the intense struggle and the Tet Offensive of 1968.
