At the end of May, the weather is hot, under the scorching summer sun, we want to find a peaceful and cool place to rest and escape the heat. In the midst of the majestic natural scenery, our eyes follow the vast fields and the distant Phung Hoang mountain range (Tri Ton district - An Giang). There is Tuc Dup hill - a rocky plateau in the plain - where many historical relics of the people of the Bay Nui region are preserved.

Cave on sunny days
Tuc Dup Hill rises up in the middle of the Southern sky with lush green forest canopy. Millions of rocks stacked on top of each other look rough and rugged, but make it extremely special. The roots of ancient trees cling tightly to the hillside, creating very unusual shapes. Each nameless vine is twisted and clings tightly to the big and small rocks to survive, proving the harmony of the natural ecosystem of the dreamy forest. Standing on the top of the hill, surrounded by thousands of typical trees, mixed with the bright phoenix flowers of summer, it feels so ethereal, fully admiring the vast sky.
Stepping down is the entrance to a winding cave system that connects with each other through each narrow alley. There are still engraved lines of text, strategic symbols of soldiers in the past imprinted on the cliffs. Countless cave tubes interweave, combining together to form a magical maze, leading visitors to the bustling flapping of birds, bats and insects. The sunlight gently dances, seeping through the gaps to create a lively space picture, the intricate sunlight outlines the magic. The hotter the sun, the cooler it is inside because of the cool air and the mysterious wind blowing in waves inside the cave, making the soul feel refreshed, letting go of all the worries.

Not only is it a hill with many illusory legends, Tuc Dup is also a historical site with many feats of arms against foreign invaders: "That Son is extremely majestic, the feat of Tuc Dup lives with An Giang".

Cave in rainy days
The bright sunny days are also a good omen for the heavy rains to come. No matter how strong the wind and rain are outside, the cave is still surprisingly dry. The isolated raindrops fall and splash like crystal clear flowers, tapping rhythmically on the hazy stone. Listening to the sound of rain and the rustling of the forest, the swaying red phoenix flowers catching each drop of heavenly tears, at this moment we seem to hear the call of nature.

This place contains amazing beauty and profound historical significance. Every stone slab, every corner of the cave bears the mark of time and witnesses many heroic stories. Come to Tuc Dup cave to find your roots, to see more clearly the cultural and spiritual values of the Vietnamese people.
During the long period from the 30s to the 40s of the 20th century, Tuc Dup carried within itself a flame of revolutionary struggle. During the years of resistance against French colonialism, thanks to the rugged terrain, the French colonialists could not find the shelter of revolutionary soldiers and did not dare to sweep or hunt them down. Since 1960, Tuc Dup was the base of the Tri Ton District Party Committee and the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, an important bridge bringing the Northern army corps across Truong Son and Cambodia to spread throughout the Southwest battlefield. This place nurtured important factors, especially training and fostering many core cadres during the hot period of struggle, during the Tet Offensive in 1968.
