On February 2, Phu Quoc City authorities (Kien Giang) organized to welcome the 5-star cruise ship Costa Serena, departing from Laem Chabang port (Thailand) bringing more than 1,100 international visitors to visit the island city.

At exactly 7am the same day, the Costa Serena arrived in Phu Quoc and anchored in Duong Dong area, about 3km from shore. After completing immigration procedures, at around 8am, the first tourists "broke ground" in Phu Quoc to the warm welcome of local leaders and many travel, tourism and transportation units.

At the reception area (Border Control Station of Duong Dong Port), the authorities arranged a street band to perform exciting foreign songs. With the warm welcome of the local people, many tourists were excited to step onto Phu Quoc Island.

Tourists will have 1 day to visit and shop at famous tourist attractions on the island, such as: Hon Bridge in Hoang Hon Town, Grand World area... Tourists will return to the ship at 6:00 p.m. the same day to move to other places.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Khac Huy, General Director of Vina Phu Quoc Travel Company, said that to prepare for welcoming guests on the Costa Serena ship, the company has prepared English-speaking tour guides, transportation vehicles, daily tours, and programs to visit local traditional cultural sites...

With the approval of the authorities and the Costa Serena, we had a nearly 2-hour tour on this 5-star ship.
On the side of the ship there is a place where visitors can stand and watch the ocean.
After more than 10 minutes on the tender, we finally approached the Costa Serena. After completing the immigration procedures (with CCCD to receive the card), we had to go through the security check area like at the airport to start the tour of the ship.
In addition to the elevator, the ship also has a sophisticated staircase system.
Large cinema
The first area is a bar on the third floor, decorated in dark but splendid colors. In addition to the mixing area and tables and chairs, there is also an area with a grand piano. Here, we met and interacted with the captain.
The ship has many restaurants, serving hundreds of diners at the same time.

The second stop was the cinema area. On the stage, there were two dancers practicing. The tables and chairs were arranged in a beautiful curve. Next, we were taken to the game area, casino, swimming pool and restaurant area.

We were taken to the highest area of the ship to visit, take pictures, and enjoy the breeze. From the ship looking to the shore, Phu Quoc was beautiful. Finally, we were taken to a guest room area. The rooms were arranged on both sides of the ship, in the middle was a long walkway. Through that walkway, we were quickly taken back to the initial immigration area, returned our cards, and were tendered back to shore.
