The inauguration ceremony and inauguration of a national standard school at a public construction site in Ward 6, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City took place in a jubilant manner on the historic April day. The school was decorated with red flags and yellow stars. This is one of the key projects under the 4,500 classrooms project, celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by: Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, Chairman of Tan Binh District People's Committee; Ms. Truong My Hoa, former Vice President of Vietnam and many other distinguished guests.

Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School was brightly decorated with flags and flowers to welcome delegates on its inauguration day.
Many schools were inaugurated, building modern, comprehensive education.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, congratulated the city's education and training sector, Tan Binh District, teachers, students, and parents on having new, spacious, and modern national standard school buildings. The project not only has educational significance but also contributes to upgrading urban infrastructure, improving landscape, traffic connection, and promoting economic - cultural - social development in Tan Binh District. This project is a testament to the determination of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City in building a modern and comprehensive education system.

The school cluster project was started on December 12, 2023 and includes 4 component projects.
Component project 1 is Son Ca Kindergarten. The school has a campus area of 6,348.5m2 ; construction land area: 2,120.1m2 ; total construction floor area: 7,750.2m2 . The scale of the school is 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 20 classrooms, functional rooms and a kitchen.
Son Ca Kindergarten has the capacity to receive up to 700 students. The total investment including construction costs, equipment costs and other costs is more than 122 billion VND.

The second component project is Hung Vuong Primary School. The school has a campus area of 9,432.5m2 ; Construction land area: 3,322.4m2 ; Total construction floor area: 9,740.0m2 . The school has 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 30 classrooms, functional rooms, kitchen, multi-purpose gymnasium. The school can accommodate up to 1,000 students. The total investment is more than 147 billion VND (including construction costs, equipment costs, and other costs).
Third is Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School. The campus area is 12,283.5m2 ; construction land area: 4,025.18m2 ; total construction floor area: 13,121.98m2 . The scale is 1 ground floor, 3 floors, 45 classrooms, functional rooms, kitchen and swimming pool. Can accommodate up to 2,000 students. The total investment is more than 196 billion VND (including construction costs, equipment costs, other costs).

The fourth component project is the construction of traffic infrastructure, technical infrastructure and support to implement investment in building a cluster of public schools according to national standards on the public works land of Ward 6, Tan Binh District.
The scale of the project includes Chan Hung Street 325.58 m long, Hung Hoa Street 214.39 m long, Street No. 1 and Alley 769 Cach Mang Thang Tam 322.93 m long, Street No. 2 181.52 m long, Street No. 3 126.75 m long, Alley 783 Cach Mang Thang Tam 139.27 m long, Alley connecting Hung Hoa Street with Alley 783 Cach Mang Thang Tam 77.46 m long and a green park for sports and physical training with an area of 10,991.51 m 2 . The total investment is 690.001 billion VND (of which construction and installation cost: 109.258 billion VND; cost of supporting the process of using crops for farming by households to implement the project: 580.743 billion VND).

Tan Binh District People's Committee said that the project to build a cluster of 3 schools meeting national standards and construction works of traffic infrastructure, technical infrastructure and support to implement investment in building a cluster of public schools aims to promptly meet the demand for schools and classrooms, ensuring effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program and the Project to ensure facilities for preschool and general education in the period of 2017-2025 under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In addition, the investment in building new, renovating and upgrading schools also contributes to perfecting the education network in the district, ensuring that 100% of students study 2 sessions/day, class size meets the prescribed standards, and gradually improves the quality of comprehensive education.
