Ben Tre more than 250 thousand students enter new school year

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Phan Xuan Thuy and Standing Deputy Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Tran Thanh Lam attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at Mo Cay Town Primary School 1 (Mo Cay Nam District).

At the opening ceremony, teachers and students of Mo Cay Town Primary School 1 and delegates listened to a letter from General Secretary and President To Lam sent to students, teachers, administrators, education workers and parents on the occasion of the opening of the 2024-2025 school year.

On the occasion of the new school year, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Phan Xuan Thuy mobilized Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank to sponsor 50 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND); Ben Tre Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company awarded 30 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to poor and disadvantaged students of the school to encourage them to study well in the new school year.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ben Tre province, the 2024-2025 school year is the year the 2018 General Education Program is implemented in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12 and is the first school year to organize the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the education and training sector of Ben Tre province will focus on implementing the school year theme of "Discipline, responsibility, continuous innovation, improving the quality of education and training" launched by the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, it will promote the "New Dong Khoi" emulation peak, especially the emulation movement of creativity and innovation in management, teaching and learning; Prepare well the conditions for the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. At the same time, develop learning content to implement lifelong learning for people in the province.
