On the evening of September 22, speaking with VietNamNet reporters , the leader of the People's Committee of Co Noi commune (Mai Son district, Son La province) confirmed that a case of a newborn baby abandoned on the roadside had just been discovered in the area.

Specifically, at 4:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered a newborn baby boy abandoned on the side of the road with a handwritten note. Meanwhile, today Mai Son has had prolonged heavy rain...

The note read: "Due to difficult circumstances, I cannot take care of the child. If anyone finds him, please take care of him. I'm sorry, I hope he will be healthy and grow up."

The note also clearly stated the baby's date and time of birth, according to which the baby boy was born on the morning of September 22.

After checking and determining that the baby boy was in normal health, the local authorities handed him over to the household that initially found him for temporary care.

Currently, the commune authorities are carrying out procedures to issue notices and find relatives for the child. After the prescribed time, if relatives do not come to receive the child, the commune People's Committee will carry out procedures for adoption according to regulations.
