Closing ceremony of the 2024 Law Competition on Ethnic Affairs in Dien Bien Province

During 2 days, from September 26 to 27, 10 teams with 200 contestants participated in the contest and went through 4 rounds: Greeting; Knowledge test; Situation handling and Propaganda skit. With careful preparation, the teams brought many good and attractive skits; presented creative ways to handle situations in propaganda, explanation, analysis, dissemination of policies, and mobilization of the people; brought the Party's policies and the State's policies to the people in the most effective way.

The contest to learn about the law on ethnic affairs is a practical activity to concretize the innovation of skills, methods of propaganda, mobilization and effective implementation of Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated December 10, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas associated with the implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and social security in Dien Bien province for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the contest, Mr. Giang A Dinh, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, said: The contest to learn about the law on ethnic affairs is an opportunity for cadres and civil servants working on ethnic affairs; cadres and civil servants working on the dissemination and education of law, social culture, information and communication, village and hamlet cadres; Party Committees, Village and Hamlet Chiefs, Youth Union, Women's Union, Front Working Committee, prestigious people among ethnic minorities, good workers... to practice and strengthen their propaganda and mobilization skills, skills in handling situations at the grassroots level. Especially the skills to disseminate and educate the law to people right at the local level in the work of preventing social evils, preventing domestic violence, gender equality; promoting the role of the People in protecting national defense, security, protecting national borders, protecting forests and the ecological environment; Other policies and laws directly related to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, in accordance with the actual situation of the locality.

Each competition of each team has its own unique creations, with elaborate, thoughtful and careful investment. In all competitions, the teams not only demonstrate good appeal and high mass artistry, but also demonstrate understanding of legal knowledge and understanding of customs, practices and culture of each ethnic group...

Through the contest, all levels and sectors will discover good and creative ways of doing things, models and examples in propaganda and mobilization work to continue to replicate.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee selected 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 03 Third Prizes, 05 Encouragement Prizes for the teams. In which, the First Prize belonged to the team from Muong Ang district; the Second Prize belonged to the team from Dien Bien district; the Third Prize belonged to the districts: Muong Nhe, Muong Cha and Tuan Giao. The Organizing Committee also awarded the following secondary prizes: The team with the best greeting performance for Muong Ang district, The team with the best situational response for Muong Cha district, The team with the most impressive propaganda skit for Dien Bien district, The team with the best script for Nam Po district, The team with the most national identity costume for Dien Bien Dong district.
