Preferential loans have helped many poor and near-poor women in Dak Nhau commune, Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc province) overcome difficulties and escape poverty. Since then, many members have become good economic models, with good models being replicated, creating jobs for other women members.
The most important job of the day for Ms. Thi Geo, Group 1, Dak Xuyen Village, Dak Nhau Commune, Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province, is to take care of her herd of 15 cows. For Ms. Thi Geo, the herd of cows is the family's biggest asset. She has been able to build up the large number of cows she has today thanks to her access to preferential loans from the district's Social Policy Bank (SPB) through the village's Women's Union.
Ms. Thi Geo said: "Previously, I only raised 3 pigs. Since joining the Women's Union of the village, the head of the Union and the women in the Savings and Loan Group have taken care of me and created favorable conditions for me to access loans from the district's Social Policy Bank. After a survey, I was given a loan of 50 million VND by the district's Social Policy Bank. From this money, I bought 3 breeding cows and some pigs. After a period of care, my family now has 11 pigs and 15 cows."
Like Ms. Geo, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen in Dak Nung village found many benefits when joining the Women's Union of the village. In addition to being regularly invited to attend the activities of the Union and receiving useful information, she also had access to preferential capital to develop her family's economy.
Ms. Tuyen shared: "My family currently has 4 hectares of land growing durian, coffee and avocado. In recent years, the economy has been difficult, so investing in garden care has been difficult due to lack of funds. In 2023, through the Women's Union of the village, I was able to borrow 60 million VND from the district's Social Policy Bank to invest in fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation systems for the durian and coffee gardens. Thanks to that, my family's garden achieved high yields in the last coffee crop. This is a great source of encouragement for my family to work hard to develop the economy."

Since then, many members have become good economic models, with good models being replicated, creating jobs for female members. Thereby, creating motivation and spreading the initiative and confidence of women in the new period to other members.
Through loans from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, many women members have risen from poverty to become rich; their annual income is guaranteed for family economic development, and poor women in the association are guided on how to do business and escape poverty sustainably.
The Commune Women's Union regularly inspects and urges the use of capital for the right purpose, timely repayment of debts; supervises and manages the credit and savings activities of the Savings and Loan Group.
