(Dan Tri) - Dortmund prodigy Youssoufa Moukoko has caused a stir when he was accused of cheating on his age and falsifying documents to fool scouts in Germany.
Yesterday (December 13), German football was shaken when Dortmund prodigy Youssoufa Moukoko was accused of age fraud and fake documents. It should be added that the player born in 2004 was a key member of many German youth teams. He also played twice for the national team of this country.

The person who accused Youssoufa Moukoko was Mr. Joseph Moukoko, who until now is still considered his father on paper.
Mr. Joseph claimed that he and his wife are not Youssoufa's biological parents. The player was also not born on November 20, 2004 in Yaounde (Cameroon) as stated on the documents. Instead, Youssoufa was born on July 19, 2000, which is 4 years older than his current age.
Speaking to ProSieben, Mr. Joseph confessed that he had forged documents and claimed to be the boy's biological father for many years. He said: "We did this so that little Youssoufa would have more opportunities to play in Europe."
Mr. Joseph's revelation shocked the German and European football world. For many years, Dortmund and German youth teams have used players who cheated on their age to compete in international tournaments. Dortmund won the U17 Bundesliga in 2018 and the German U21 team won the European Championship in 2021.

In response to Mr. Joseph's accusation, Dortmund Club spoke up: "We base on Youssoufa Moukoko's documents according to his identity papers issued by the competent authority.
These documents are still valid today and are the basis for granting playing licenses to clubs, whether at home or abroad. Of course, they are also used for him to play for German youth teams in international competitions.
The player's parents, and even the third parties involved, have all pledged to the authenticity of the documents through affidavits. They legally guarantee that the information contained in the above official documents is correct.
This is decisive for us as well as the German Football Association in using players."
If the worst happens, Moukoko is at risk of losing his career. This scandal could wipe out the striker's efforts in the international arena. This is a pity because Moukoko has gradually proven his talent and played for the German national team. Even Dortmund and the German Football Association could suffer the consequences if proven wrong.
