On February 29, the Border Guard Command of Binh Phuoc province held a traditional meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Border Guard Traditional Day and the 35th anniversary of People's Border Guard Day.
Colonel Hoang Van Thanh, Political Commissar of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Border Guard Command, said that the unit is managing and protecting a border of nearly 259 km; adjacent to 4 pairs of border gates, 1 opening and many trails across the border. The border area includes 15 border communes in 3 districts of Loc Ninh, Bu Dop and Bu Gia Map. The border opposite Binh Phuoc province has 3 provinces of Mondulkiri, Kratie and Tbong Khmum, with 7 border communes in O Rang District, Keo Si Ma (Mondulkiri), Snuol (Kratie) and Me Mot District (Tbong Khmum, Cambodia).
Binh Phuoc was the first locality in the country to complete the border marker planting on the Vietnam - Cambodia line in 2012.

In recent years, political security and social order and safety on the province's border have been basically maintained; the economic, cultural and social life of ethnic minorities in border communes has been improved.

Build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development," emphasized Colonel Hoang Van Thanh.

Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh suggested that the Border Guard should continue to monitor and grasp the internal and external border situation; do a good job in national defense and border diplomacy; participate in implementing policies on hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building new rural areas, taking care of the health of ethnic minorities, and maintaining the close relationship between the army and the people. Each officer and soldier of the Border Guard needs to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, be a solid support for the Party Committee, government and people to build, manage and protect sovereignty and border security.
