For the runner-up, life as a single mother was quite difficult, but only in the beginning. Now that her son Max is 3 years old, she can return to her job. However, she is lucky because her grandparents help take care of her son so she can return to work.

Although divorced, Hoang Oanh still regularly lets her son meet his father and paternal family. Therefore, her son always feels the full love of his family even though his parents are no longer living together. On Max's recent 3rd birthday, he also celebrated his new age with both his father and mother.

“That is also my biggest wish. Now, I am a joyful and happy single mother,” Hoang Oanh confided.

Being a single mother has made her more understanding and sympathetic to people in the same situation. In particular, she also decided to return to cinema after 4 years, with the role of a woman who went through a broken marriage and tried to win custody of her daughter in the movie "The Squad is Very Good". She said that many single mothers sympathized with the character Khue in the movie and texted Hoang Oanh to share.

Hoang Oanh's full name is Vu Ngoc Hoang Oanh, born in 1990 in Hanoi, and became known to the audience when she won first prize in the Hot VTeen 2006 contest. She then won the runner-up title in the Miss Vietnam Photogenic 2012 contest.

She was previously married to Jack Cole, an American living in Singapore. They got married in 2019. In August 2020, she gave birth to her first child. After giving birth, Hoang Oanh and her husband had to live in a long-distance relationship because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which prevented her husband from returning from Singapore to take care of his wife. In April 2022, the couple announced their divorce. They said they would raise their son together so that he could live in the best environment.
