Writing like this, at first glance, some people might misunderstand that I am introducing Ganh Da Dia, a familiar place in Phu Yen province. But no, I will take you to a new “Ganh Da Dia” located on the mountain.
This "Ganh Da Dia" was discovered during the construction of the Nuoc Che Hydropower Project in Phuoc Nang commune, Phuoc Son district, Quang Nam province.
During the construction of the Nuoc Che Hydropower Project in Phuoc Nang Commune, Phuoc Son District, Quang Nam Province, a "da dia reef" was discovered.
This rock mass has a unique shape, tens of meters high, hundreds of meters long with circular, hexagonal, and quadrilateral stone pillars arranged in consecutive columns, creating a majestic and fascinating scene.
This mountain range is located about 2 km from Ho Chi Minh road and more than 10 km southwest of Kham Duc town (Phuoc Son district, Quang Nam province).
According to locals, the mountain range was previously obscured by trees and only a small part was visible. However, when the water channel from the main dam to the turbines was opened in 2018, the cliff with its stone pillars was clearly revealed.
The rocky mountain range is nearly 500 m long, with the Dak Che stream below and the dense forest above. Each stone pillar is nearly 5 m high, arranged in columns along the road, with a quadrilateral, hexagonal or circular cross-section, creating a unique landscape. Currently, this place is still wild and not known to many people.
The “Ganh Da Dia” on this mountain not only attracts nature lovers but also geologists who want to learn about the formation process of these special rock structures. The stone pillars, formed millions of years ago, are a living testament to the power and ingenuity of nature.
With its unique beauty and scientific value, this stone pillar structure in Quang Nam promises to become an attractive destination not only for domestic tourists but also for international geological researchers.
The discovery and preservation of this site not only contributes to enriching the tourist map of Quang Nam but also to contemplate the magic and endless beauty of nature.
