Today, May 27, information from the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention, Border Guard Command (BĐBP) said that the unit has just presided over and coordinated with the Border Gate Department of the Border Guard Command and the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province to detect and arrest a case of illegal transportation of a large quantity of heroin from Laos through La Lay international border gate to Vietnam for consumption.
Suspects and evidence of the case
Previously, implementing the plan to combat project A424-3p, at 4:30 p.m. on May 23, on National Highway 15D through La Lay village (A Ngo commune, Dakrong district), the authorities caught 5 Lao nationals red-handed while illegally transporting drugs from Laos to Vietnam.
These suspects include: Phit Samay Colarat (24 years old, residing in Kay Son Phom Vi Han city, Savannakhet province), Nuta My Say (29 years old), Thip Lat Da But Sa Lat (23 years old), Bun Suleovan (47 years old) and Khen Leo Van (30 years old, all residing in Vientiane city).
Among the suspects, there are 2 female suspects who are students.
The seized evidence included 100 heroin bricks hidden in a car with a Laotian license plate along with many other related objects. Through investigation, the suspects initially confessed to transporting the above drugs for a fee of 6,000 USD.
