Arrested 6 traffickers of people under 16 years old in many Central provinces

The task force of the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force has just dismantled a human trafficking ring under 16 years old from Kon Tum province to Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces for labor exploitation.

On September 9, Colonel Le Thiet Hung, Head of the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force, Department of Drug and Crime Prevention under the Border Guard Command (BĐBP), confirmed that the unit had just coordinated with the Border Guards of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Kon Tum provinces to successfully destroy a human trafficking ring from Kon Tum province to Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces for labor exploitation.

The Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force has decided to prosecute a criminal case on the crime of Trafficking in persons under 16 years old.

On the same day, Colonel Huynh Bao Nguyen, Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Provincial Police, also confirmed that the unit will receive the case file to continue investigating and handling it according to legal regulations.

Previously, from the complaint of the people in Kon Tum province and the process of monitoring and investigation, from August 23 to September 5, the Border Guard's special task force simultaneously inspected 8 locations in Hoai Nhon town (Binh Dinh) and Tuy Hoa city (Phu Yen), including 2 house numbers and 6 karaoke bars.

As a result of the inspection of the locations, the authorities have screened and identified 10 female citizens under the age of 16 who were forced into labor. Most of the victims are from Kon Tum, Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces...

Through investigation, the task force urgently arrested 6 subjects for human trafficking under 16 years old, all from Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces, including: Le Ngoc Linh (24 years old), Truong Minh Vu (36 years old), all residing in An Lao district, Binh Dinh province; Le Duc Dung (22 years old), Bui Duc Tin (20 years old), Nguyen Thanh Nhat (29 years old), all residing in Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh and Huynh Ngoc Anh (32 years old), residing in Hoa Thanh, Dong Hoa town, Phu Yen.
