Arrested 2 casinos with many women, temporarily seized over 200 million VND in evidence

Also on the afternoon of June 16, the Criminal Police Department of Binh Minh City Police (Vinh Long) said they were detaining 5 women to investigate gambling.

According to the investigation agency's records, at around 3:00 p.m. on June 14, the Criminal Police Team of Binh Minh City Police in coordination with Dong Thanh Commune Police suddenly inspected the house of Ms. Le Thi Lien (55 years old, residing in Dong Thanh Commune, Binh Minh City) and caught Thach Thi Sa (50 years old); Nguyen Ngoc Nu (55 years old); Nguyen Thi Trang Nho (54 years old); Do Thanh Loan (56 years old, both residing in Binh Minh City) and Le Thi Cam Thach (42 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) gathering to play 6-card poker for money.

At the scene, the police temporarily seized many exhibits including: 6 decks of cards (52 cards) and some other related evidence and more than 90 million VND.

Through inspection and verification, the police determined that the total amount of money the women gambled was more than 15 million VND, including 7.2 million VND collected at the gambling table.

At first, these gamblers admitted to their gambling behavior, with each bet amount ranging from 100,000 - 200,000 VND.
