Bacterial leaf blight and streak disease are caused by the bacteria Xanthomonas Oryzae. The lesions are like water-soaked stripes on the edges of the leaves, yellow to white in color, first appearing at the tip of the leaves or on both sides of the leaf edges, then gradually spreading to the leaf blade. If the disease is not prevented in time, the rice leaves will dry out, lose the ability to photosynthesize, and yield will decrease significantly.

Immediately after detecting pests, Bao Yen District Agricultural Service Center coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and agricultural extension officers to conduct field inspections, disseminate information, and advise people on timely prevention and control measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
Accordingly, people need to regularly visit the fields, monitor, detect diseases early; take proper care for healthy rice growth, balance fertilizer, regulate water appropriately; do not apply too much nitrogen, apply nitrogen late and for a long time; pay attention to combining nitrogen fertilizer with manure, phosphorus, and potassium.

When detecting that the field is newly infected, it is necessary to keep the water level at 3 - 5 cm, absolutely do not apply chemical fertilizers, foliar fertilizers and growth stimulants, only apply fertilizers after the disease has been treated; use chemical drugs such as: Visen 20SC, Basu 250WP... to spray.
People need to carefully read the spray dosage on the manufacturer's packaging label, and follow the 4 right principles: "right medicine; right dosage, concentration, right time, right way".
