Protecting the rare Stork flock in Gia Lai province

Accordingly, the rare Oc Stork flock is migrating to the fields in Ia Mrơn commune. The Ia Mrơn commune Party Committee requested the People's Committee to direct forces to patrol and protect the stork flock; the commune's political organizations and unions to strengthen the dissemination of policies and laws on the protection of rare animals, mobilize people to protect the stork flock, and hunting in any form is a violation of the law and can be prosecuted.

Stork flock appears in Gia Lai province

It is known that the Snail Stork, also known as the Swallow Stork, is a bird of the Crane family, with gray-white feathers, shiny black wings, and a weight of 1-1.2 kg/bird. The main food of the Snail Stork is usually snails, crabs, frogs, and toads. The Snail Stork often migrates in flocks, but it is very rare to appear in large numbers in Gia Lai. According to some locals, this flock of Snail Storks has appeared in Ia Mron commune for about a week now.
