Mr. Tran De - Principal of Thuan Loc Primary and Secondary School - said that the program "Books for children - for people" has continued to spread with more than 1,000 books, helping the school library have a richer and more complete source of books.
This is a special and meaningful gift in the month of gratitude to teachers, the gift comes at the right time when the school focuses on building the "Green Library" model, helping students have study and reference materials.
“The program “Books for you – for the people” and the gratitude gifts from former students affirm a humane education, always reminding us, especially the generations of students sitting in school, to always remember our roots, homeland, country, remember the virtue of being a student and remember the saying “One word from a teacher is worth half a word from a teacher ”, said Mr. De.

Previously, on November 7 and 8, journalist Hoang Tri Dung - head of the representative office of Tuoi Tre newspaper in the Southwest region - presented 500 books to the library of Thuan Loc Primary and Secondary School and 100 books to the bookshelf of the Wisdom House in Thuan Loc commune.
The program "Books for children - for people" was initiated by journalist Hoang Tri Dung and former students of the school, including: showing gratitude to teachers on November 20, donating books to the library, and giving gifts to students.
The program was especially accompanied by the Book Street of Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap); Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan donated 100 books to the Intellectual House of Hong Nguyet Village, Thuan Loc Commune. This is a valuable book collection that he personally read and selected to spread the spirit of "Reading with Cyclo" among farmers and agricultural enterprises initiated by himself.
The books donated to the school library are for children, including genres such as: folk tales, children's stories, life skills, moral training, health training. In particular, there is a set of 53 books on Vietnamese history through pictures, helping students learn historical knowledge more interestingly and attractively.

Teacher Le Ba Hoang - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh province - expressed his emotion and gratitude to Tuoi Tre newspaper for being a bridge and former students for donating many valuable books, learning materials and reference materials.
“These gifts are not only a useful source of documents to help students expand their knowledge, but also a spiritual encouragement and motivation for them on the path of learning and development. This will be a great motivation for Thuan Loc students to strive and go further in their learning journey.
I suggest that the school find a solution to use books as "living books" that are truly meaningful in raising students' awareness," said Mr. Hoang.
