Teacher Le Sy Hieu, Principal of the school, said: With the characteristics of a specialized school, a common home for children of the Thai, Muong, and Tho ethnic groups in the district, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values is considered an important task. Therefore, before students enter school, the school requires each student to prepare a traditional costume of their ethnic group to wear every Monday, flag salute, group activities, and major national holidays. In addition, the school regularly organizes extracurricular activities, team activities for students to practice singing folk songs, folk dance competitions, traditional games and performances such as: Con throwing, bamboo jumping, mandarin squares, stilt walking, bamboo pole dancing, gongs, etc. Along with that, the school established an art troupe to regularly organize cultural - artistic, physical education - sports exchanges for students with other schools in the district. In particular, during major anniversaries, the school also organizes a "Highland Market" to display and introduce products and products of all ethnic groups in the district. Thereby, helping students understand the cultural values of each ethnic group, access and contribute to preserving and promoting good traditional cultural values. Along with that, the school has integrated the teaching of awareness of preserving traditional cultural values into each subject, especially the local education program. In the life skills education program, the school often guides students to preserve the culture of their ethnic group, expressed through the integration of subjects such as: Literature, history, geography, civic education. The school also collects, gathers, displays, and introduces documents and artifacts related to the culture of ethnic groups, such as: Costumes, jewelry, agricultural production tools, crossbows, gongs, etc. for students to visit, learn and use during festivals in the traditional room. These solutions have aroused in students the awareness of preserving and promoting their national cultural identity right from when they were still in school.
