Speaking at the direction and awarding of the National Special Monument Ranking Certificate of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh (Lac Son District) to Hoa Binh Province, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long said that the archaeological relics of Hang Xom Trai (Tan Lap Commune) and Mai Da Lang Vanh (Yen Phu Commune), Lac Son District, Hoa Binh Province were discovered and gradually excavated a long time ago.
“This is a typical representative of archaeological heritage, the heritage of the “Muong Hoa Binh culture”, with unique and distinctive historical and cultural values, demonstrating the daily life and work of generations of ancient residents in Hoa Binh, a source of pride and a valuable tourism resource of Hoa Binh province in particular and Vietnam in general”, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also said that in recent years, in addition to focusing on economic development, ensuring social security, national defense and security, and social order and safety, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province have been very determined in managing, protecting, exploiting and promoting the values of traditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups, especially relics belonging to the "Hoa Binh Culture" associated with sustainable tourism development, gradually making Hoa Binh one of the attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, the 10-year socio-economic development strategy for 2021 - 2030 determines: "Comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural fields, ensuring both the promotion of the good values of the nation and the absorption of the quintessence of human culture, creating momentum for socio-economic development and international integration. In which, the work of preserving, embellishing and effectively promoting cultural and historical values is an important task. Hoa Binh province has many advantages to strongly promote historical, cultural, natural landscape and geographical values for sustainable socio-economic development, in which the archaeological site of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh is a highlight".

Promoting the role and value of heritage
In the coming time, to continue to preserve and effectively promote the value of cultural heritage in general, the special national relics of Hang Xom Trai archaeological site and Mai Da Lang Vanh in particular, to promote tourism development, and to make an important contribution to socio-economic development, Hoa Binh is interested in a number of contents, focusing on effectively organizing and implementing programs and projects on cultural development, cultural heritage, especially the Strategy for Vietnam's cultural development to 2030.
Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of culture, with special attention to preserving and promoting the heritage values of “Hoa Binh Culture”, Muong culture as well as the culture of ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province. According to the report of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the archaeological site of Mai Da Lang Vanh was ranked as a national archaeological site by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 2003.
By July 2024, the relics of Mai Da Lang Vanh, Yen Phu commune and Hang Xom Trai, Tan Lap commune, Lac Son district were ranked as special national relics by the Prime Minister (in Decision No. 694/QD-TTg, dated July 18, 2024).
In recent years, the locality has paid attention to promoting and introducing Hoa Binh culture. Since the term Hoa Binh culture was officially recognized in 1932, there have been many domestic and international promotional and introduction activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary (1982) and 60th anniversary (1992) in Hanoi.
In particular, currently, implementing the Project to preserve and promote the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group and Hoa Binh culture in the period of 2023 - 2030, the province has allocated resources and implemented many specific and practical activities to preserve and promote the cultural values of Hoa Binh.
In particular, all levels and sectors in the province continue to focus on propaganda and promotion of Hoa Binh culture in general and the province's first special national relic in particular, contributing to introducing, spreading and honoring the value of world-class culture to domestic and foreign friends.

Speaking at the ceremony, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long affirmed that receiving the Certificate of ranking as a special national relic for Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh is a particularly important cultural event for the people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province.
Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long affirmed that receiving the Certificate of ranking as a special national relic of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh is a particularly important cultural event for the people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province.
“The fact that the archaeological site of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh has been ranked as a special national relic by the Prime Minister is an honor and pride, and at the same time, it also places a great responsibility on the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province in preserving and promoting the value of the relic,” Mr. Long affirmed.
According to Mr. Long, the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, identified improving the material and spiritual life of the people, preserving, conserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups as one of the important goals.
On that basis, Hoa Binh province has been gradually implementing tasks and solutions to exploit the maximum potential and cultural strengths to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector; build Hoa Binh into an attractive destination with typical tourism products, a major tourism center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region. Develop tourism in a sustainable direction, closely linked to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups and the "Hoa Binh Culture".
In the coming time, Hoa Binh province identifies Culture as one of the province's five strategic breakthroughs and will continue to effectively implement specific tasks and solutions to preserve and promote the value of relics associated with tourism development; forming tourism products that are attractive to scientists, researchers on "Hoa Binh Culture" and domestic and foreign tourists, so that the heritage will last forever and spread, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, truly becoming an endogenous strength, an important driving force for national development and local socio-economic development in the context of globalization and international integration.
