Accordingly, Living Well brings a solar-powered saline water filtration system with a capacity of 250 liters of water per hour, meeting the daily needs of many people in Phung Son hamlet, a locality that is heavily affected by drought and saline intrusion. Integrating solar panels into the water filtration system will help ensure a stable power source for the machine, especially during the dry season, when hydropower output is low and electricity demand increases, leading to power shortages. Above all, the application of solar energy, one of the renewable energy sources, also contributes to enhancing the local adaptability to the impacts of climate change.

This is the fourth time that Keppel Vietnam, in collaboration with Tien Phong newspaper, has organized the Living Well project to bring clean water to saline areas. This year, Living Well brought two imported solar-powered saline water filtration systems to meet the daily needs of people in Hau Giang and Soc Trang, two localities that are heavily affected by drought and saline intrusion.

According to Mr. Joseph Low - President of Real Estate, Keppel Vietnam, since its inception in 2022, the Living Well project has contributed to bringing clean water to about 88,000 people in 6 provinces in the Mekong Delta, which are suffering from drought and saltwater intrusion. This year's program is even more meaningful as it is held on World Water Day, thereby emphasizing the company's commitment to sustainable development, contributing to promoting the community's adaptability and resilience to the effects of climate change, one of the main causes of drought and saltwater intrusion.

Comrade Tran Huu Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Phung Commune, Long Phu District (Soc Trang), said: "The Living Well project has both great material and spiritual value because from now on, people of Song Phung Commune will have clean water for daily use."
