Honored to be one of the 8 collectives receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Planning and Investment for communicating the socio-economic development policy mechanism of the Region, The World & Vietnam Newspaper is proud to have contributed to spreading the enthusiasm, efforts and determination of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Organizing Committee of the 6 Regions Development Conference Series, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to society.

Editor-in-Chief of The World & Vietnam Newspaper Nguyen Truong Son, along with outstanding groups, received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Planning and Investment for communicating the economic and social development policy mechanism of the Region.

As assessed by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong, information is transmitted to the people, the public and the entire system thanks to the Government's communication network, including the communication network of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

“We appreciate you journalists for not only working with a professional, dedicated, and voluntary spirit, but also spreading the enthusiasm, efforts, and determination of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Organizing Committee, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to society.

These silent dissemination efforts contribute to spreading information widely and deeply, creating bridges connecting information and knowledge, helping society and people understand correctly the policies of the Party, State and Government; and more importantly, contributing significantly to creating high unity, raising awareness, responsibility, political determination and renewing the thinking of all levels and sectors about the role, position and importance of each region, thereby creating unity in action, aiming to successfully implement the goals of the Politburo's Resolutions", the Deputy Minister said.

On June 20, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the Ministry's leaders awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of MPI for communicating the regional socio-economic development policy mechanism to 8 groups and 42 individuals, to honor outstanding groups and individuals, including The Gioi and Viet Nam Newspaper - a bridge in introducing and promoting the image of the land, people, potential, strengths, mechanisms, socio-economic development policies, promoting investment attraction of localities in the region to friends and businesses at home and abroad.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Duy Dong emphasized that, looking back at the series of regional conferences, the focus on highlighting "New thinking - New breakthroughs - New values" in the regional approach and the way of organizing conferences from press conferences, to press releases, video production, to news, articles, transmission, and evaluation of effects before, during, and after the event from a media perspective has contributed to highlighting the very important significance for the development of each region, opening up new opportunities for the development of socio-economic regions, dynamism, creativity, and leadership in innovation and development of the whole country.

On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Deputy Minister Tran Duy Dong sent congratulations to journalists following the macro-economy in general and the Ministry of Planning and Investment in particular.

This is one of the practical activities of the Ministry of Planning and Investment towards the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Over the past time, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has proactively and actively advised the Party and Government on correct, timely, and effective mechanisms and policies to overcome difficulties and challenges, and fulfill the goals set out in the Party's Resolutions, strategies, and socio-economic development plans.

Notably, during this term, the Ministry has recently chaired the Government's consultation to submit to the Politburo for promulgation Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated October 6, 2022 on the direction of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands region to 2030 with a vision to 2050; Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW dated October 7, 2022 on the direction of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030 with a vision to 2050 and submitted to the Government for promulgation 6 Resolutions of the Government on the Government's action program to implement the Resolutions of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the region to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and specifying specific tasks and solutions to promote the potential strengths of each region.

At the same time, in order to carry out the tasks assigned by the Government, the Ministry has coordinated with localities to successfully organize a series of conferences to deploy the Government's action program to implement the Politburo's Resolutions on the above regions and combine investment promotion in the regions. These are extremely meaningful activities with the goal of bringing the Politburo's Resolutions into life, promoting the attraction of domestic and foreign investors and mobilizing ODA resources from donors for specific projects mentioned in the Resolution. After these conferences, ministries, branches and localities continue to organize the development and completion of mechanisms and policies for regional development.

In fact, the conferences have been innovated in the "3 in 1" organization method, not only with the purpose of announcing the Government's Action Program to implement the Politburo's Resolutions, but also promoting investment, calling for the attention of domestic and international investors, business associations, and development partners in accompanying the Government in implementing investment programs and projects of important significance to the socio-economic development of the regions.

Artistic photo exhibitions and booths displaying typical products of localities in each region are attractive highlights, creating strong impressions on businesses, development partners and people.

After each conference, the Government and the Prime Minister have resolutely directed to create consensus on key groups of tasks and solutions, including: promoting dissemination and propaganda work, creating unity and consensus of the political system in building and organizing the implementation of programs and action plans to implement each resolution; developing rapidly and sustainably to create breakthroughs and spillovers in regional and inter-regional economic development; focusing on perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies to promote regional linkage development; developing science and technology, innovation and perfecting infrastructure and urban areas; developing culture and society, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; firmly ensuring national defense and security, improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs; focusing on building and rectifying the Party and the political system.
